4 Picture-Perfect Spots in California

In a short trip to California early this year, I had the chance to see four of the best tourist destinations and definitely picture-perfect spots in Sunny California. Check them out!

1. The Golden Gate Bridge

Take a breath-taking view of the Golden Gate Bridge and San Francisco’s skyline by crossing the bridge from the San Francisco side to the Marin County side, and then drive up the cliff and stop at the Battery Spencer, a former military installation during World War II. Take postcard-perfect shots with the Golden Gate Bridge on your background. Be careful though and watch your steps when taking selfies. Frommers.com gathered other creative ideas from their readers on how and where to take photos of this famous landmark.

2. Baker Beach and Crissy Field

Stop at the lovely Baker Beach or Crissy Field. It is nice to just leisurely stroll in the beach, watch the kids play with their kites or simply enjoy the cool breeze of fresh air – but the view! You cannot miss taking a panoramic shot of the beautiful beach with the Golden Bridge nearby or click a selfie to capture the refreshing scene with your hair naturally blown by the wind.

3. Napa Valley and the Vineyards

Start your Napa Valley tour with an obligatory pose at the Welcome Napa Valley sign along Route 29 in Oakville. There might be other people stopping by to take pictures so do not worry if you forgot your self stick and ask a friendly stranger to take your picture. I am sure they would happily oblige.

There are a lot of vineyards in Napa Valley but our wine tour at Sterling Vineyard is one for the books. Highly recommended when in Napa Valley.

The cable ride going to the winery up the hill will give you an amazing view of the vineyards below and the mountains afar. Reaching the winery, the wine connoisseurs will happily give some history and facts about Sterling Vineyard’s world-famous wines. Of course, wine tasting will be the best part of your tour.

Enjoy every sip of your wine while hanging out in their courtyard with the spectacular view of the valley.  It is nice to take home exclusive wine offers and of course, pictures of you in this beautiful place.

4. The Palace of Fine Arts

This is a monumental structure in San Francisco Bay Area with Greco-Roman design and architecture. It is so picturesque that it is sought-after for wedding photo shoots and seen on films such as s VertigoTime After TimeThe Room and Twisted. Filipino TV fans will also recognise this place as seen on popular teenage romantic drama, “On the Wings of Love.” You too will fall in love with this place the moment you lay eyes at The Palace of Fine Arts.

There is a large number of Filipinos living and thriving in California. Most of them occupies California’s Los Angeles-Long Beach-Santa Ana metropolitan area according to a report. No wonder there are a lot of restaurants, grocery stores, and other service establishments in the area that are either owned or manned by my kababayans. It’s nice to have Filipino friends around here.

Writing this post made me reminisce happy memories and my short visit in California would have not been as fun and as memorable if not for good friends who opened their homes and share their precious time with me. Thank you dear friends, and you reading this post, wishing you a grand time in California with lovely photos to remember them by.
